HUNTING AREA

Located in the north-eastern part of the country, the area covers more than 3.397.700 acres, begins at the foothills of Mount Bongo and extends from the Bongou River to the Ouandjia River going through Ouadda up to the Quijux Pass in the direction of Ouanda Djalle.

This territory used to be managed by the famous « Safaris Jean d’Orgeix » and the « Safeca ».

It is composed of massifs, hills, a series of grassy plains interspersed with large forest along numerous rivers, and plateaux covered with bush savannah.


Due to the variety of these biotopes, specimens of the most prestigious species of antelope can be found such as Giant Eland, Roan Antelope, Western Greater Kudu, Sitatunga, Kob, Bohor Reedbuck, Bush Buck, Oribis and different Duikers : Yellow-backed Duiker, Blue Duiker, Common Duiker and Red-flanked Duiker.

Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, Bongos, Giant Forest Hogs, Red river Hogs, Warthogs can also be found.


ACCOMMODATION :

The camp is located along the Koumou River at its confluence with the Manovo River. Accommodation provided in boukarous (traditional huts) equipped with private bathrooms, is very comfortable. Secondary camps are spread out in the area. The camp has generators, freezers, fridges, a radio link with Bangui and a satellite telephone.

There are 3 officially recognised landing strips around our area.

VEHICLES :

The camp is equipped with Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup 4x4 vehicles.
