As far as Big Game Hunting is concerned, Central African Republic is certainly one of the countries which succeeded the best in protecting its exceptional biodiversity and the genuineness of its biotopes composed of equatorial forest, semi-desert steppe and bush savannah. Thus CAR offers the opportunity of hunting a variety of wildlife among the most beautiful species of animals.

The hunting method is mostly tracking, that is to say, looking for trails and then following the track. Interpreting a trail is more a question of what one can’t see that what one can see. First of all, one must be perfectly aware of animal ways and learn why and where animals do what they do. Our Central Africans trackers will show you their instinct, their courage, their agility, their tactic and their skill which allows them to fight against the wariness (weariness ???) instinct and the developed senses of the animal. They will be able to find the animal, to approach it and to offer you a perfect position for shooting.

We also practice , baiting hunting, calling hunting, stand hunting.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

In the camp: no cartridge in the weapon and bolts off.
In the vehicle: no cartridge in the weapon but bolts on.
During walking approach: supply chamber full, no cartridge in the chamber.
In final approach: supply chamber full, 1 cartridge in the chamber with safety on or firing pin uncocked.
When shooting: safety off or firing pin cocked.
Just after shooting: 1 cartridge in the chamber, supply chamber full.
After success : no cartridge in the chamber.

In any circumstances be careful.

Shooting taxes and government taxes are to be paid on site in cash, in euros or in CFA francs.

Fees for veterinary or exportation certificates, the packing of the trophies and the transport to Bangui airport can be paid with the safari or on site in cash.

Taxes are due for any wounded or killed animal. (Trophy fees on request)

The shooting of a female or of a young immature is sanctioned by a double tax.

Taxes can be modified without notice by the Central African authorities.
